Our warranty

FB Guitars Ltd provides a two year limited commercial warranty with every eligible new FB Guitars instrument. It begins on the delivery date and applies to the original purchaser, unless FB Guitars agrees otherwise in writing.

The warranty is available worldwide where FB Guitars can lawfully provide support. It is additional to mandatory consumer rights and does not replace or shorten them.

What we cover

The warranty covers defects accepted by FB Guitars as attributable to approved manufacture, assembly, installation or workmanship that materially affect the structure, function or conformity of the guitar under normal use.

This may include structural defects, hardware or electronics installation defects, manufacturing related fretwork, setup or finish defects, and failure to conform to the final approved Build Specification.

If a third party component is involved, contact FB Guitars first. We will determine the appropriate warranty route.

What is not covered

The warranty does not cover normal wear, ordinary ageing or problems caused after delivery by circumstances outside manufacture. Examples include worn strings or frets, normal setup movement, natural wood variation, scratches and cosmetic wear, accidents, impact, unsuitable storage, misuse, neglect, unauthorised work that caused or affected the problem, or customer arranged transport damage.

A third party modification or repair does not automatically cancel the whole warranty. We will consider whether it caused, affected or prevents proper assessment of the claimed defect.

Shipping damage on delivery

If FB Guitars arranged delivery and the guitar arrives with apparent transport damage, contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Keep the packaging and shipping labels, and take clear photographs of the package, case and instrument. Do not repair or return the guitar until we give you instructions.

Making a warranty claim

Email info@fbguitars.com with your name, order or invoice reference, serial number, proof of purchase, a description of the problem and clear photographs or video where reasonably possible.

Do not return a guitar or authorise paid repair work until FB Guitars has given written instructions. Unauthorised repair costs are not reimbursed unless FB Guitars approved the work and cost in advance.

Inspection and warranty remedy

We may ask for inspection by FB Guitars, the original manufacturer, an authorised repair partner or another suitably qualified technician.

If the claim is accepted, the appropriate remedy may include repair, component repair or replacement, rework, an authorised local repair, replacement of the instrument where appropriate, or another reasonable remedy permitted by this warranty and applicable law.

Warranty shipping

Do not ship the guitar until written return instructions are provided. Returns must be packed, tracked and insured as instructed. Shipping, customs, inspection and associated costs are handled according to the nature of the claim, the written return authorisation and applicable law.

Where mandatory law requires a covered remedy to be provided without charge, FB Guitars will comply. If inspection shows that the issue is not covered, reasonable costs may be payable by the customer where permitted by law.

Natural materials and setup

Wood and other natural materials vary and respond to humidity, temperature, tuning, string tension, transport and storage. Periodic setup adjustment is a normal part of guitar ownership. Reasonable natural variation and normal setup movement are not by themselves manufacturing defects.

Your legal rights

This is a commercial warranty provided by FB Guitars Ltd. Depending on where you live, mandatory consumer law may provide additional or longer rights and may provide different remedies. Nothing in this warranty excludes, limits or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited or modified.
