The guitars

Choose your FB Guitar.

Lightning Mark III and Anubis are our original performance designs. Choose the model you connect with, then we configure it around how you play.

Lightning Mark III

The next Lightning.

LIGHTNING MARK IIIFull guitar + performance anglePrimary product render or photography

Lightning Mark III carries the Lightning philosophy into our production range. It is developed for serious playing and supports 6, 7 and 8 string configurations, single scale or multiscale geometry, and compatible fixed bridge or tremolo solutions.

The identity stays Lightning. The specification is developed around the player.

Anubis

A different shape. The same performance mindset.

ANUBISFull guitar + performance anglePrimary product render or photography

Anubis is a distinct FB Guitars design developed around the same performance principles as Lightning Mark III. Balance, access, low profile construction, ergonomics and tonal refinement remain central.

Choose Anubis because you want an Anubis. We then develop the configuration that suits your playing.

Performance architecture

Designed from the player outwards.

6, 7 or 8 stringsThe platform scales with the instrument rather than forcing one layout.
Single or multiscaleScale geometry is chosen for the musical and playing requirement.
Fixed or tremoloBridge choice is treated as part of the complete geometry.
Low profile constructionBody and neck are developed for close, unrestricted playing.
Balanced massWeight distribution is engineered to reduce unwanted neck or headstock dip.
Player accessUpper fret reach, posture and body contact points are part of the design.

Exact woods, hardware, pickups, neck details and other build choices belong to the approved specification for that guitar. We do not pretend every configuration has one fixed catalogue recipe.

Make it yours

Configure the instrument, not the identity.

Your Instrument Brief covers the choices that shape the guitar, including string count, left or right hand, tuning, bridge, frets, scale, string set, pickup direction, pickup layout and tone goals.

We build original FB Guitars designs. References to other guitars are useful when they explain a feel, sound or feature you like, but we do not reproduce another brand’s model.

ToneVector

Refine the tone before the final specification.

After the Instrument Brief is reviewed, ToneVector helps us compare pickup options and refine pickup placement for the configuration and tonal goals.

Genre gives musical context. Playing intent helps define how the player uses the instrument and can influence the assessment. ToneVector does not assign a generic pickup position to a genre.

How ToneVector works

Development heritage

Form follows function was tested on stage.

“The care and thought that go into an instrument like this really come through when you get to play it.”

William Attard McCarthy, after playing the Lightning Mark II prototype with Extremity.

William later described the prototype’s balance, jack placement, slim neck, tremolo movement and strap positions in detailed firsthand feedback.

Lightning Mark II is a development prototype and predates ToneVector. The experience above is not presented as a review of Lightning Mark III or Anubis.
